Mukti Australia (MA) https://mukti.org.au is a Christian international aid and development organisation with partners in India and Sri Lanka. Our vision is to bring hope and a brighter future to marginalised, vulnerable women and children in these countries.
MA supports the Pandita Ramabai Mukti Mission in India, which first opened its doors in 1889. The Mission has a main residential community that provides safe shelter and a loving environment to over 400 destitute and abandoned women and children. It also has 18 other locations across eight states of India. The support of Wings of Hope in Sri Lanka commenced in 2016. It works collaboratively with local faith communities to offer programmes that promote a sense of personal worth and potential amongst women and children in Hatton’s tea plantations.
