The Position - Content Creator, Permanent Part-Time (0.6FTE)

We’re looking for a suitably experienced part-time Content Creator to support our Community Engagement Team. We are hoping to hear from applicants who have strong content creation and copywriting experience, and are creative and passionate about planning and creating high-quality written content. Applicants who can identify content opportunities, work under pressure and pivot, and use feedback to create stories about our school and its community are invited to apply. Experience within a school environment or similar for-purpose organisation would be highly regarded.

As a Content Creator, you’ll play a key role in creating compelling content to showcase Danebank to engage the school's external and internal community.

Key Competencies, Skills and Experience

  • Be a strong Christian role model, with a deep commitment to the Christian purpose and mission of the School
  • Demonstrable ability and experience in identifying content creation opportunities and developing on-brand copy for multi-purpose use (e.g. social media, newsletter, media release, website)
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in using and optimising social media platforms for regular posts and advertising campaigns
  • Knowledge of and experience in community-engagement deliverables, including event organisation, communication products, marketing and advertising
  • Ability to be proactive and flexible, and to work efficiently and collaboratively within a high-functioning team
  • Ability to interpret strategic thinking and plans, and effectively turn this into communication plans and engaging content
  • In an environment where change is frequent, has the ability to determine priorities and positively focus (or refocus) self on the tasks and key-priorities

Essential

  • Working with Children Check essential
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in marketing, advertising and/or journalism
  • Hands-on experience using web-publishing tool such as Wordpress
  • Knowledge and experience of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop)
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google suites
