You will work closely with teachers and the Learning Support Coordinator to implement Individual Plans (IPs), support student engagement, assist with resource preparation, and contribute to a Christ-centred, inclusive learning environment.

  • Fixed-Term Part-Time (3 days/week - Mon/Tue/Wed - 8.30am to 3pm)
  • Term Time Only 2025, with possible contract for 2026

Charlton Christian College is seeking a caring and committed Learning Support Aide to join our Junior School team in 2025. This fixed-term, part-time role provides in-class and small-group support for students in Kindergarten to Year 4, particularly those with disabilities or additional learning needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the implementation of learning adjustments and IPs
  • Assisting students with literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development
  • Working one-on-one or in small groups with students under teacher guidance
  • Supporting classroom routines, supervision, and general administration
  • Collaborating with staff and attending professional learning where required

Selection Criteria for this role;

  1. Experience supporting the learning and wellbeing of primary-aged students, including those with disabilities or additional needs.
  2. Ability to implement learning adjustments and Individual Plans (IPs) under the guidance of teaching staff.
  3. Demonstrated strength in the following behavioural competencies:

    • Planning & Organising – manages time and tasks efficiently
    • Adapting & Responding to Change – remains flexible and calm in changing situations
  4. A personal commitment to Jesus Christ, active participation in a local Christian church, and support for the College’s Statement of Faith.
  5. Knowledge of child safety obligations in schools, including mandatory reporting and safe practices with children and families.
  6. Current NSW Working with Children Check.
