Permanent Part-Time (2/3 days per week)

Restore Community Church is seeking an energetic and passionate Children’s Pastor to join our Pastoral Team in a part-time capacity. This is a wonderful opportunity to lead and grow a vibrant Children’s Ministry and play a key role in shaping the faith and future of the next generation.

Since our planting in 2009, Restore has been a place where people of all backgrounds are welcomed into a warm, faith-filled community. We are a Pentecostal church with a heart to connect people to Jesus and a commitment to raising disciples in every season of life. Blessed with our own church building since 2015, we’re expanding our ministry team to reach more families in Rowville and beyond.

About the Role
The Children’s Pastor will lead Restore’s children’s programs (Gummi Bears: 1–5 years and Lamplighters: 5–13 years), school holiday initiatives, and special events throughout the year. You’ll be responsible for creating a fun, faith-filled, and safe environment for kids to grow spiritually, emotionally, and socially—while also building strong connections with parents and carers. Reporting to the Senior Minister, this role plays a key part in our broader leadership team and church life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead weekly Children’s Church programs and Sunday services
  • Develop engaging, biblically based teaching and activities
  • Create a safe, inviting space for kids to experience Jesus
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteer leaders
  • Ensure team compliance with safety and church policies
  • Plan and coordinate special events (holiday programs, Easter, Christmas)
  • Provide spiritual care and support to children and their families

About You:

  • Experienced in children’s or pastoral ministry
  • A gifted communicator and natural connector with kids and families
  • Strong leadership, administration, and time management skills
  • Confident with curriculum planning and resource development
  • A team player with a servant heart and a proactive attitude
  • Holds a current Employee Working With Children Check
  • Willing to undergo a CrimCheck

You’ll lead by example, inspire others, and carry the heart and values of Restore in everything you do. Prior experience in building and motivating volunteer teams is a strong advantage.
