Governess (Home School Teacher)

Looking for an experienced qualified, caring and passionate teacher to home educate our three children. Current ages are 10, 8 and 6.....

Hi, I am Lorraine, mother of 3 (soon to be 4) and am looking to employ someone part time to help in the homeschooling of our children.

Context

We are looking for an experienced qualified, caring and passionate teacher to home educate our three children. Current ages are 10, 8 and 6.

We are Christian family who have homeschool for the past four years and love the extra family time, the one on one teaching, faith and life teaching that we get from being homeschooled family.

As the wife and mother I have often felt inadequate for this task and struggle to meet all the demands of the household. Having a teacher to do the bookwork or tutoring of the day would be such a help to us. We are also expecting another baby in December.

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9am till 1pm

You'll be expected to work with the children from 9am till 12 (noon) then you could have an hour to correct lessons or plan future lessons. If the right candidate has other skills to offer we will be open to having you work some afternoons too. For example if you know sewing or computers or another language we would love a few extra fun lessons.

Criteria for the right candidate:

• Dedicated born again Christian;
• Passionate open about your faith and wanting to influence our kids to grow in their faith;
• Actively committed to and involved in a local church;
• Qualified
• Experienced; and
• Can encourage a love of learning in a gentle fun creative way when a child is struggling.
