About the Role
Anglicare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Worker Team Leader to lead our team of Care Workers within our Retirement Villages. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of exceptional, person-centred home care services in line with Anglicare's Christian mission and values. You will oversee a dynamic team, manage day-to-day operations, and drive a culture of excellence in customer service, safety, and care standards.
Reporting to a senior leader, you will supervise up to Care Workers and Domestic Assistants, ensuring high-quality support for our clients while maintaining compliance with organisational policies and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Client Care & Service Delivery
Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care that aligns with Anglicare's Rhythm of Life principles.
Oversee care plan implementation, provide direct care when required, and prioritise client satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and support your team of Care Workers, fostering a culture of respect, compassion, and outstanding service.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and address performance issues proactively.
Operational Management
Manage team scheduling to ensure seamless care delivery, including unplanned staff absences.
Contribute to ongoing improvements in care processes and systems.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure accurate documentation and timely recording of care information in line with legislative and organisational standards.
Monitor safety risks, enforce safe work practices, and actively participate in workplace health and safety initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, their families, and internal and external stakeholders.
Effectively communicate to resolve issues and ensure client & staff needs are met.
What We're Looking For
Certificate IV or higher in Aged Care, Community Services, or a related field.
Proven experience in a leadership role within aged care or community services.
Strong knowledge of community-based aged care standards and practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage schedules and team performance effectively.
Valid Driver Licence and 3rd party insurance in case they needed to assist with transport services.
Current first aid and CPR certificate
