Instrumental Music Instructor
The Opportunity
We are looking for a reliable, passionate, and enthusiastic person to join our team.
Grace has a highly regarded and active Co-curricular Performing Arts program within Grace Academy and is currently seeking a Music Instructor at our Rothwell Campus on a casual basis for Term 3 (there is the possibility of ongoing casual work) supported by our Director and administrative support staff.
Upper Strings Specialist (Violin & Viola, with some beginner level lower strings (Cello) & piano).
Private/Group teaching & possibility of ensemble direction.
Experience teaching in private instrumental lessons, AMEB examinations (including music theory desirable.
Own device required (laptop/tablet).
Reporting to: Head of Strings, Directors Grace Academy
Position Type: Ongoing Casual - approximately 8 - 10 hours per week over two (2) days during Term 3.
Anticipated Commencement Date: 14 July 2025

This position would suit someone with commitment to the ethos, Christian values and teachings of the College. The suitable candidate will also have:
Current Blue Card
Current driver's license and own transport
Ability to assist in preparing students for AMEB Exams
Ability to teach in group & private tuition contexts
Ability to teach primary & secondary school-aged students
Good pedagogy experience working with different age groups, confidence and flexibility in delivering content
Dynamic and energetic teaching which is engaging and is based on building excellent learning in the program
Ability to work and plan for a diverse range of students of mixed ability and special needs
Willingness to liaise with classroom teachers, support staff and special needs coordinators
