Permanent, Full-time or Part-time Opportunity

As part of our ongoing support for local churches, we are adding to our team of experienced Ministry Partners in our Church Engagement Team.

Within this position you will have the opportunity to provide advice and support to our affiliated churches while also contributing to one or more of our core engagement areas:

  • discipleship and faith formation
  • leadership development and care
  • church governance and systems
  • church health and revitalisation
  • church planting and pioneering

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong, supportive relationships with pastors and church leaders.
  • Provide coaching and guidance in leadership, mission, and ministry.
  • Lead and grow initiatives in areas like discipleship, governance, and church health.
  • Foster collaboration through networks and learning communities.
  • Champion the mission and values of Churches of Christ across all activities.

Please note this position requires some travel to our churches across Queensland.

About You

You are a relational and spiritually mature leader with experience in church or ministry settings. Passionate about supporting pastors and churches, you have strengths in coaching, leadership development, and missional engagement. You are team player who thrives on collaboration, brings strategic insight to ministry initiatives, and aligns deeply with the mission and values of Churches of Christ.

Other Requirements

  • Degree qualification in Theology, or equivalent experience.
  • Able to be endorsed as a Ministering Person of Churches of Christ in Queensland and a Demonstrated commitment to Jesus Christ and the authority of the Christian Bible.
  • Current driver's licence.
  • Solid experience of active participation in a leadership or ministry role in a Christian Church or organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to model a missional lifestyle and to communicate Christian beliefs and convictions within the Australian context.
  • Identify as a committed Christian and a key member of Churches of Christ in Queensland staff.
  • A current National Police Check or willingness to obtain if required.
  • Working for Children (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain if required.
