South Coast Baptist College is looking for a committed Education Assistant to join our secondary school team on a part-time or full-time basis. In this role, you will work alongside classroom teachers and school leadership to support students, create inclusive learning environments, and contribute to the educational development of our secondary students.

Position Requirements: 

  • Certificate in School Based Education Support.

  • Familiarity with diverse teaching and learning strategies.

  • Effective communication skills with students and families.

  • Commitment to building positive relationships within the school community.

  • Understanding of the teacher's role as a role model.

  • Adherence to occupational health and safety guidelines.

  • Experience working with students with special needs.

  • Creative and engaging teaching style.

 

Essential Criteria: 

  • A personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ. 

  • Active participation in a church or Christian community, exemplifying Christian beliefs, behaviour, and practices. 

  • Acceptance of the College’s Statement of Faith. 

  • Ability to build cooperative and supportive relationships with the Board, Principal, staff, students, and parents. 

  • Commitment to personal best practice. 

  • Ensure decisions are impartial, fact-based, and fair. 

  • Model appropriate and proper channels of communication. 

  • Consistently act in the best interests of the College and its ethos. 

  • Adherence to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC. 

  • Commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment in line with the College’s values and policies. 

  • Possession of the following certifications: 

  • National Police Clearance 

  • Working with Children Check 

  • First Aid Certificate
