About the program and role

We are looking for experienced, committed youth workers, who are responsible for developing, assisting and supporting young people in a strength based, therapeutic model of care to provide growth and safety until they become adults. The program has a strong focus on facilitating and supporting the young people, their families and key stakeholders, to recover from trauma with a multi-disciplinary team-based approach through individualised, person-centred care.

Key responsibilities:

  • provide individualised high-quality supports which promote clients’ health along with their physical, emotional, social and behavioural needs and goals
  • to facilitate the participation and inclusion of young people in the community
  • to act as a mentor to young people and engage positive change and discourage challenging behaviours
  • support clients in their day to day lives according to their individual care plans
  • with 24 hour care we need people who can work all shifts including active nights and holidays
  • year round rosters require availability at all times of the year
  • an understanding of reflective practice in the trauma based environment

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award Level 3:
