Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced
Aged Care Facility Manager to oversee all aspects of operations at Apsley Riverview
Aged Care Facility. The successful candidate will ensure the provision of
excellent care to our residents while adhering to industry standards and
regulations.
Job
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of Apsley Riverview Aged Care
Facility, ensuring high-quality care and services for all residents.
2. Ensure the Facility meets all compliance,
safety, and health regulations stipulated by the local, state, and federal
authorities.
3. Develop and implement operational policies
and procedures aimed at improving overall efficiency and effectiveness of care.
4. Manage and support recruitment, training, and
retention of staff, ensuring an efficient and competent workforce.
5. Prepare and manage the Facility’s budget,
ensuring appropriate allocation and utilization of resources.
6. Conduct regular inspections of the facility
to maintain a clean, safe, and positive environment.
7. Collaborate with medical and professional
units to establish resident care plans.
8. Handle resident and family complaints and
concerns promptly and professionally.
9. Foster and maintain positive relations with
the community, regulatory bodies, and other relevant institutions.
10. Act as the Facility's representative with
the public, government agencies, and professional bodies.
11. Develop service quality improvement initiatives based on feedback and
quality audits.
12. Perform and manage all relevant regulatory reporting as required by Walcha Council as the aged care provider.
Required
Qualifications:
1. Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing,
and/or postgraduate qualifications in aged care related discipline or business
management
2. A minimum of 5 years of management experience
in an Aged Care or similar healthcare setting.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of aged care
regulations and excellent understanding of quality systems and continuous
improvement processes.
4. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and
communication skills.
5. High degree of problem-solving and
decision-making skills.
6. Strong financial and commercial acumen.
7. Ability to work with a diverse team and
promote a positive work environment.
8. Current first aid certification (desirable).
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and
experience with healthcare software systems.
